PRIVACY
Privacy at Size It Up
Size It Up has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address or payment details. This page lists everything the game stores, where it is kept, which outside services — including analytics providers and advertising partners such as Google — see your visit, the choices you have, and how to have your data removed. Last updated: November 4, 2026.
On your device
Your progress through today's puzzle, your preferences (units, sound, Guided or Expert), your streak, personal best and games played live in your browser's local storage. So does a random player token that identifies this browser to the leaderboard. None of it is a cookie and none of it is shared with other sites. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it, including the token; the next game you finish then starts a fresh, unconnected player.
On our server
When you finish a daily puzzle the game sends your five guesses, the time you took, the mode and your player token so the run can be scored and ranked. The server recomputes the score from the guesses, so only the guesses are needed. For each player we keep:
- a hash of the player token (the token itself is never stored),
- your leaderboard nickname — a random one such as “Loopy Panda” is generated for you, and you can change it,
- the country or region your connection came from, as a two-letter code derived by our hosting provider from your IP address and shown as a flag on the leaderboard; the IP address itself is not stored,
- when the player was first and last seen,
- each finished run: the date, category, mode, guesses, round scores, total score and time taken.
Runs are used for the leaderboard, for the “how people guessed” notes on the answers pages and for aggregate statistics such as how today's scores are spread. They are not sold or shared.
Analytics and cookies
To understand how the site is used we run a small set of analytics services. They see your IP address and browser details as part of any web request and receive anonymous gameplay events (for example “game started” or “result shared”). Those events never include your guesses, nickname or player token.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) sets first-party cookies named
_gaand_ga_*to count returning visitors. - 51.la analytics may set its own cookies for the same purpose.
- Plausible Analytics is cookieless and counts page views and the same anonymous gameplay events without building a profile of you.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless.
The game itself sets no cookies. The administration console uses one session cookie for signed-in administrators only. You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker, and the game will keep working.
Advertising
Size It Up is free to play and is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertising keeps the daily puzzle, the archive and the answers pages free and without a sign-up.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Advertising partners may also use web beacons, pixels, device identifiers and similar technologies to measure ad delivery, limit how often you see the same ad, and detect fraud and abuse.
- Other third-party ad vendors and ad networks that serve ads through Google may also use cookies. The list of these vendors is published by Google and can change over time.
Size It Up does not pass your name, email address, nickname, player token or any other personal information to advertisers, and ads never appear inside the game board itself. We do not use sensitive information such as health, religion or sexual orientation to target ads.
Your choices. You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (United States) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe). How Google uses information from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and its advertising cookies are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. If you opt out you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Where the law requires your consent before cookies or identifiers are used for personalised advertising, ads are served through Google's consent tools: you are asked first, you can refuse, and you can change your choice later. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
US state privacy rights. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. You can exercise that right with the Google and industry opt-out links above, with a browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal, or by emailing us.
Hosting and other requests
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Fonts and player avatars are served from our own domain. The footer shows badges from a few launch directories; loading those images lets each directory see that a visit happened.
Children
Size It Up is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly allow interest-based advertising to be shown to them. Nicknames are generated at random; if you change yours, please do not use your real name.
Removal and questions
To remove your leaderboard entries or nickname, email contact@sizeitupgames.com with the nickname and the dates you played, and we will delete them. You can also change your nickname from the leaderboard panel at any time. Nicknames are screened for links, contact details and offensive words, and you can report one that breaks the rules in the terms of use to the same address. The contact page covers other questions.
